Description
Framwellgate Bridge is a mediaeval masonry arch bridge built after 1400 in Durham to replace an earlier 12th century bridge that was washed away in a great flood.
This painting was taken from an old etching from the early 19th Century.
‘Thank you so much for the wonderful painting of Framwellgate Bridge. It looks magnificent in the lounge and is there to be admired by all. We enjoyed the exhibition very much and we are sure it was a great success.’ ~ Kath and John, Co. Durham
